Writing Prompt: The Egyptian plagues have started again
Pestilence by Fire
Flashes of fire fell from the sky as I ran through the streets of New York, attempting to avoid those covered in boils running in the opposite direction. They were going in the wrong direction. How did I tell them? How could I stop them?
“Hailey,” I heard a deep, male voice call from across the way.
Deep brown eyes greeted me across the sidewalk as my best friend Ian ran toward me with arms wide open. He wanted to save me, that I was certain.
That was until, in a blaze of heat, he crumbled beneath the unforgiving plague.
